History

The Club, which is situated in Upper Wharfedale, North Yorkshire, on a 0.7 acre site leased from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority adjacent to their Hebden Road car park in Grassington, was formed in 1981.

A group of local enthusiasts raised over £18,000 over the next two years and laid down a 40yd x 40yd crown green from an area of rough pasture, with bowling commencing in 1983. As interest and membership numbers increased so did fund raising efforts, which resulted in the Club members building their own pavilion in 1985 with financial assistance from local people, The Chamber of Trade, Parish and District Councils and the Sports Council.

The Club now offers bowling facilities for both members and visitors with floodlighting available to enable members to enjoy their games during the darker evenings of early Spring and Autumn.
